An update from Federal Hill Eye Care

We are happy to announce that we will be reopening on May 18, 2020 the office. Things will look different due to the current COVID-19 situation. We are doing things differently to keep our patients and staff safe.

Here is what you can expect at your next appointment:

Upon arriving at the office, you will need to call to let us know that you have arrived. We will be limiting the number of people in the office so we can maintain social distancing.

We will meet and welcome you outside the door. Before you enter the office, your temperature will be taken. If you have a fever, you will be asked to reschedule. The doctors and staff will also have their temperature taken before entering the office each day also. If anyone has a fever, they will be sent home. There will be a COVID-19 questionnaire that will be done on each patient.

If you are not feeling well, coughing, having shortness of breath, sneezing, runny nose, or even if you think it is allergies, you will be asked to reschedule.

Upon entering the office, you will be asked to use hand sanitizer, a mask, and gloves. We will not allow anyone to use a homemade mask or bandana in the office. Although they offer some protection, they may not be protective enough.

Social distancing will be enforced in the office.

Only the patient will be allowed in the exam room and optical. Only one parent/caregiver will be allowed in the exam room and optical if the patient is a minor or requires assistance.

During the remainder of the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no public restroom available.

We realize that these are a lot of steps to follow, however we are very serious about keeping our patients and staff healthy. We thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult period. We will revise things as the situation evolves.
